Expired visa, can I get a new one?

I was granted a HSMP visa in 06/07. I moved to the UK in 10/08. I switched my visa to a Tier 1 and got a residence permit 05/09. I worked in the UK for a year and left in 10/09. My residence permit expired 08/12.

My question is, if I want to move back to the UK, what should I do? Do I need to re-apply for a Tier 1 visa or can I apply to re-activate my previous visa?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nobody could make a specific suggestion without knowing you. All of the work-related categories are listed on the UKBA site. There are various options so you just have to look at what, if any, match your skill set or ability to invest.

I meant if there were any possibilities open to me as a previous Tier 1 holder.
