Tier 1(general)Dependent(Out-of-Country) Karachi-Help me plz

Post by naveediiqbal » Wed Apr 24, 2013 1:05 pm

Hi,

I am currently living in karachi. My husband is in London now searching for a job. He secured tier 1 visa extention on Jan 2013 for next two years (based on previous job earnings). I obtained my first Tier 1 on 2010 which has expired now. I am going to renew it now.

I am here in karachi now and would like to apply for my tier 1 dependent visa. When I called the customer support in karachi visa office they asked me to fill an online application for visa. The application did not say what documents to submit with application.

Please advise me what are the required documents I need to supply with my dependent visa.

Please also advise if I need any english language requirements to fulfill. Althogh online application is not asking it.

Please advise immediately as I am a bit worried. Thanks you all for your help and support.

Ifyou have previously got your Tier 1 dependant Visa and traveld to UK then it will be easy to egt your Visa however this does not mean that you would be given exemption for the required documents:

It would be ideal if your husband do any sort of job when you apply however it is not given categorically.
You

You need to have a maintenance funds in your own bank or in spose account for a period of contuinuous 90 days. The statement should not be older then 31 days at the time of submission of your application.
The maintenance funds depend on the number of dependants. In your case as your husband is in Uk for more than 12 months so it would be 900+600=1500 but if you have any kids then add £600 for each.

The documents you need will be copy of the visa (BRP Card) and a copy of the first page of information of your husband passport.
Aprt from that if you attach information of your continuous communication like telphone bills showing your communication , emails etc as a proof that you are still in the relationship as wife and husband.
If you have any joint account in Pakistan or UK that statment would be better to attach too. If you are getting any remittance from your spouse from UK receipts for those money when sent from here would be better to attach too.
You can also get FRC(Family Registeration certificate ) from NADRA whihc is an addiotional proof of your relationship as husband wife and of your kids if you have any. If you have kids you need to get CRC (Child registeration certificate) from NADRA which again gives details of your family.
Hope informations will help

Zabiela and Afzalfinance.

Many thanks for your guidance. Please also guide me if we need TB clearance test as well. As I heard that if we don't do the Geery's (Visa staff in Karachi) will not accept the application.

Is it mandatory or not. I also have heard that if we don't have test then some time UKBA will do these tests at landing airports so may not be mandatory for visa application.

It is mandatory for any one to have TB test if stay in UK will be more than 6 months. In your case it is not something less than 6 months so your application will not be accepted by Gerry until you have result of this test as part of your application.

@ afzalfinance

I am really thankful for your kind help and appreciate your kind guidance.

Many thanks for help. Sorry one more question. When I made a phone call to geery's they said there is some online form for dependents. But the link mentioned above shows VAF10 form. which form is most relevant for me and where I would find a mandatory list of items / documents.

Have a great day afzal
