Documents for Tier 2 Dependant

Post by maverix » Wed Apr 24, 2013 6:54 pm

Hi
I am preparing my application as a Tier 2 Dependant and slightly confused with the documentation

As per my understanding the required documentation is as follows:

1. Maintenance funds of £600 in either my name or my spouse name for 90 days (This can be any bank UK bank or Indian bank)
2. TB Screening certificate from designated clinic
3. Marriage Certificate (no attestation required)
4. Payment of Rs.23650/- either via DD or on site through Standard Chartered bank.
5. Photos - How many photos are required?

Is there anything else I am missing?

Some people say this but I am not sure

1. Tenancy Agreement of Spouse's House
2. Certificate of Sponsorship of Spouse
3. Employment Contract of Spouse
4. Passport copy of Spouse.

Somehow I cannot find any of these in the guidlines pdf document. Please help.

Thanks

Visa Approved

Post by maverix » Thu Jun 06, 2013 2:37 pm

Hi I had my visa approved recently. I applied through VFS and the total working days was around 10 days from when the British Consulate received the documents(You will get an SMS if you have applied for text based status message service by VFS)

There is no standard set of documents for this but the more you can provide them with details they will accept.

Here are the ones I gave. I hope this helps others too.:

NOTE: Mine is a special case where my spouse was working in UK under Tier 2 Visa for the past two years and then I have currently joined her and hence some documents may not be the same or necessary for Main applicants who are planning to go to UK the first time.

1. Completed ONLINE application form and Photos
( Be care this has to be a very recent photo as I have heard of cases where if you provide a photo that has been used for a prior visa application they will reject the application. Always safe to prepare a new photo. Saves the tension)

2. Original TB Certificate
( This has to be from ONLY the approved hospital that they recommend in the UKBA website)

3. Sponsorship:
3.1 Original Letter of sponsorship of the Main applicant
3.2 Original Sponsorship Certificate or Certificate of Sponsorship
3.3 Employment Letter
3.4 Employment Contract

4. Passport:
4.1 Copy of Passport - Main Applicant
4.2 Copy Visa - Main Applicant
4.3 Original Passport - Dependent

5. Marriage:
5.1 Marriage Certificate - Church or other religious institutions
5.2 Marriage Certificate - Registrar
5.3 Marriage Photos
5.4 Marriage Cards

6. Financial Evidence
6.1 Original Bank Statement - Main Applicant
6.2 Original Bank Statement - Dependent
6.3 Copy of NI (UK National Insurance card )
6.4 Original P60 (UK)
6.5 Original Payslips

7. Accommodation:
7.1 Tenancy Agreement - Original - Copy
7.2 Letter from Landlord
7.3 Utility Bill
