traveling abroad need help...

I am a 5 years resident permit holder,Well i am planning of traveling to my country in couple of months,i work like 60 to 70 miles away from my home.So my question is when i will be entering back to UK,immigration officers can pick on this point that why i work 70 miles away from home?i just want to be prepared advise or experience will be appreciated.many thanks.

If the distance doesn't bother you nor your employer, then why should it concern an Immigration officer?

One of my friend has business about 25miles away from home,when hewas coming back to uk after his holidays immigration officers asked him a lot of questions regarding to that

As Vinny mentioned above is correct that if the distance does not affect you and you can afford transport/travelling cost then whats wrong with immigration officer?

It may be that the IO had been asking questions pertaining to the persons status to check if their story tied up. We don't know.

I would not worry about it too much. If you meed the requirements for a residence card, you meet them.
