Possible issue with child visa?

Post by Echoes » Fri Apr 26, 2013 5:30 pm

Hi,

I applied for my Tier 2 entry clearance and my wife and two kids applied at the same time as dependants. We received our visas today. The embassy provided us with an information leaflet which includes the following text:

"If you are a child under 18 years of age being accompanied by your parents/guardians, your visa must show both passport numbers of the parents/guardians that are travelling with you."

I've noticed that the number of dependants on my visa is zero. Also, none of the visas for children show mine or my wife's passport number.

Is this going to be an issue at the port of departure or entry?

I believe your kids have their own passports and their own visas, do not they? If so, no problem.

Yes, thanks alanwong. I have re-read the leaflet, the requirement for child's visa to have parent's passport number applies only to visit visas. So, panic over.
