Tier 2 dependent funds question

Post by immBoardusr1 » Sat Apr 27, 2013 7:05 am

hi
I am from India
I have received a Tier 2 VISA for 2 years for a JOB in UK, I will start on my job next month.
I want to apply for a VISA for my wife so that both of us can travel to the UK together , my question is :
can i apply for her dependent visa .. and can i show the funds in my account( Indian account) to cover the maintenance of funds as required by UK border agency. ( 900 + 600 pounds )

I am a bit confused because the border agency website says that the applicant ( in this case my WIFE ) should have funds in her account.
I thought if i gave my bank statement + a letter indicating that i will sponsor my wife it should be ok. Can anyone please guide ?
