Date of in-country Switch from Work Permit to Tier-1(G): 20 June, 2008

Date of travel overseas: 25 July, 2008 - 13 August, 2008.

I am applying for ILR on 30 July, 2013.
Following are absence calculations counting backwards from date of application-

YEAR 1 30 July 2013 29 July 2012 0
YEAR 2 30 July 2012 29 July 2011 4
YEAR 3 30 July 2011 29 July 2010 0
YEAR 4 30 July 2010 29 July 2009 0
YEAR 5 30 July 2009 29 July 2008 179

My question-

1. Calculation for 5 year period are started from date of application counting backwards and in my case when I calculate Year 5 starts from 29 July, 2008 but I was out of the UK on 29th July, 08. Does one needs to be in the UK physically on the starting day of 5 years qualification period to meet the requirements?
