Suggestion needed for TIER 2 visa

Post by Sandy2013_apr » Sat Apr 27, 2013 11:41 am

Hello ,

I have paid 2500 pounds to my friend to apply for Tier 2 General visa. He said that he got COS from A rated company and applied for me as normal process. After two months of waiting he said it will take months if u go with normal process so he changed the status of normal process to premium process after paying 800 pounds. Later 10 days he mailed me like your application is called but kept on hold because of lack of experience asked me to send bonafied experience letter. I have 3.2 years of experience in IT i got it from my employer and sent him but later 5 days he told me like since you have less experience so they have kept it on hold and he said yours is not rejected if we want we can reappela for it.

Is there any possible to reject or put application on hold because lack of experience.

Waiting for reply!!!

I think he is a scammer . Cos can only be assigned by company once cos assigned u ll ve to apply urself unless ur friend is a solicitor , I think u must contact the company directly and check if he us telling the truth .
Cos is just a ref number assigned to u based on ur soc code and salary it also has ur information like name dob pass port details .
Are u in country?
I would be careful with this Friend

Agree!
One can use the online points calculator to calculate the points, if you have a valid COS and you meet the points, then you will have no problems.

Tier 2 Visa is basically based on 3 properties:
- CoS (which should hold appropriate salary for a accepted SOC code)
- Maintenance (Which either you should prove from bank statements or certified i the CoS)
- RLMT (Which could be exempted in certain cases)

There is very unlikely to hold an application on a basis of experience and there is less possibility of getting an update from UKBA saying that the application is on hold if the application hasn't stayed with them longer than 6 months..!!

I too am agreed with the other people and would say your "friend" is not a FRIEND!!
Don't take "NO" for an answer if it shouldn't be!!!

Suggestion needed for TIER 2 visa-- urgent

Post by Sandy2013_apr » Sat Apr 27, 2013 2:10 pm

Hi ,

Thanks for all your replies.... My friend is not a solicitor.
I have send all my documents like certifications and passport copies to him before applying . He said he will take all necessary details through my documents.
Even i too thinks that he is scrammer. Please let me what documents i have to ask him as a proof whether he has submitted my application or not. If UKBA puts my application is on hold then how will they intimate this whether through letter or mail. He said he is working with "reed.co.uk.
Is there any possible way to track the application if we have COS number.
I have transfered all my money through paypal account.
Before applying i have checked everything in SOC . I have all the eligibility.
Thanks....

If he is not a solicitor, then there is no way to track your application unless it is older than 6 months. I'd get in touch with police in this situation as it is serious because your passport is with a person who should not hold it..!!

There is one way to track if you know the sponsor who allocated the CoS. The UKBA portal for the sponsor allows to track (not very detailed tracking system though) their certificate.

More crucially, do you have a job offer? Have you applied for a specific job with a specific company? Or was this 'friend' just offering to get you a Tier 2? If you do not actually have a job offer, if would not be possible for you to be given a CoS.

Sounds like a massive scam to me...
