ILR Dependent for me but child has Tier 1 dependent

Post by Indy » Sat Apr 27, 2013 4:30 pm

We were told that after we get an ILR, we can directly apply for a british passport for my son without having to apply for ILR dependent visa. I have got my ILR dependent last month and my baby who is born here has Tier 1 dependent (My baby is 1 yr now). I now want to go to India for 1 month with my baby. Is it okay or will that be a problem as my baby has a different visa to that of ours. Also, can someone let me know the procedure to apply for a British passport for my son and how long does it take.

Any help in this matter is much appreciated

Baby cannot directly apply for a British passport.
