ILR Application Review

Post by rasel » Sat Apr 27, 2013 9:08 pm

Hi all,

This is the only forum helped me out in my last extension. So I am back again with my queries for the upcoming ILR application.

My status in brief:

Tier1 general: 04 July 2008 for 3 years
Got married and brought my wife in UK in October 2010 as dependent. Both applied for extension on June 2011 by post. Extension approved from 08 July 2011 for two years.

In summary
First Tier 1 granted: 04 July 2008
Dependent in UK from: 29 October 2010
Extension for both: 08 July 2011
Valid until: 13 July 2013 (Total 5 years 9 days T1G excluding the end date)
Dependents total year in UK: 2.7 years (if applied on 20 June 13)

As you can see my visa is expiring on 13 July 2013, my plan is to go for PEO sometime after mid June (20 June is the target)
If applied on 20 June Total years will be 5.11 years and 16 days (23 days prior to visa expiry)

Documents:
 Application form Set (0) x 1
 Passports x 2
 BRP cards x 2
 Photographs x 2
 Life in the UK test certificate x 2
 12 Months pay slips
 12 Months bank statement
 Cohabitation documents
Unfortunately we do not have any documents in joint names. Actually I didn’t realize that before. Anyway, I have managed to dig some of the letters out (from NHS, HMRC, and GP including few prescriptions) from the papers drawer addressed to my wife’s name. I will also get a letter from my Landlord and her GP stating that she has been living in this address for the last two years. Hope this will meet the criteria.

OK now ABSENCES:
My total absence chart is as follows

Year 1 20-Jun-13 to 19-Jun-12 absence from 26-Jan-13 to 17-Feb-13 total 20 days
Year 2 20-Jun-12 to 19-Jun-11 absence from 08-Feb-12 to 18-Mar-12 total 37 days
Year 3 20-Jun-11 to 19-Jun-10 absence from 04-Sep-10 to 25-Sep-10 total 19 days
Year 4 20-Jun-10 to 19-Jun-09 absence from 28-Feb-10 to 23-Mar-10 total 21 days
Year 5 20-Jun-09 to 19-Jun-08 absence from 17-Sep-08 to 13-Dec-08 total 85 days
Total Absence 182 Days

I am not going to submit any additional documents related to my absences except an attached document to the application form mentioning above absence chart. Because experiences from this forum suggest that it is not necessary.

Additional Documents I will be carrying with me:

Employer’s letter stating my annual leave entitlement (employed since April 2010)
1 x Copy of PBS calculator result sheet
P60 for 5 years
Additionally, I will be carrying all other documents which were submitted in last extension, such as my academic certificates, marriage documents, birth certificates etc

I would really appreciate your valuable suggestion on this.

Many Thanks

Correction!
Year 5 20-Jun-13 to 19-Jun-12 absence from 26-Jan-13 to 17-Feb-13 total 20 days
Year 4 20-Jun-12 to 19-Jun-11 absence from 08-Feb-12 to 18-Mar-12 total 37 days
Year 3 20-Jun-11 to 19-Jun-10 absence from 04-Sep-10 to 25-Sep-10 total 19 days
Year 2 20-Jun-10 to 19-Jun-09 absence from 28-Feb-10 to 23-Mar-10 total 21 days
Year 1 20-Jun-09 to 19-Jun-08 absence from 17-Sep-08 to 13-Dec-08 total 85 days
Total Absence 182 Days

If possible, mention Visa Stamp - entry / exit dates along with absences chart.

Co-hab docs : If you have council tax, electoral register, tenancy agreement since you have both live together - it's nice to have

Thank you very much pegakrishna for the correction.

Yes in my letter I do have a column mentioning the departure and arrival stamp page number of the passport.

I have already contacted the Council to include my wife's name in the council tax bill. And of course tenancy agreement is a good idea to include with the cohab docs. Thanks :)

I think I can also include the ukba letter to her issued on last extension which has her name and address on it.

Is everything else seems alright to you?

Any other Gurus have noticed my post? Please I desperately your comments on this.

Thanks

It seems you know everything. There is no problem with your docs.
I do not think you want others to create some problems for you, and I can not do that at least.

Thanks alanwong

I wouldn't be able to prepare my docs in such a way without the help of this forum. I really appreciate the effort of all the members and seniors of this forum to help each other out by sharing individual experiences and knowledge.

I just wanted to get some sort of reassurance from the seniors, like you said
there is no problem with you docs
