£200k fund- shouldit be maintained 3 months before apply

Post by danishmummy » Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:02 am

salam and good day to all

I really hope someone would be able to help me. Me and my husband has our application refused under appendix A 41sd
we bot apply as a team but the bank will not provide letters which include the third party name. we are applying from outside bank
we decided not going to send the appeal instead we going to transfer all the £200k funds into my santander uk bank account and only apply just under 1 name. so the compications of the third party has been eliminated

My confusion here and hope someone would be able to clarify,

1) The money must be in cash in the account, not Individual Savings Accounts or assets such as stocks and shares;

Does it mean i can used my current bank account?

Second question is

(6) The bank or building society statement must have been issued by an authorised official of that institution and produced within the three months immediately before the date of the application; and

From what i can understand, only the maintanance fund need to be in three months but what does it mean for this word?

Is right if from my perception that if i transfer all the money tomorrow and get the santander sending out the statements and we would like to reapply next month that is still consider within 3 months or the fund of 200k should be maintained 3 months before the applications.

I appreciate your kind assistance

Many thanks.

Yes you can use funds in your current account.

as far as I know there is no time limit of keeping 200k in account before applying.

but for maintenance you have to keep the money in your account for 90 days for uk applicant and I guess its same if you applying from abroad.

regards
