Help for VAF4A2 form

Post by Jim2m » Sun Apr 28, 2013 11:03 am

Hi, everyone

I need some advice on filling the VAF4A2 form, as my wife is applying her spouse visa. We're confused with the VAF4A2 form in the following entries:

Firstly, what's the differences between 1.17 and 1.19 on this form?
(1.17 Provide details of how long you have been in a relationship akin to marriage or a civil partnership with your sponsor
1.19 Have you lived with your sponsor in a relationship akin to marriage or a civil partnership at any time (including since your wedding or civil partnership ceremony)?)

Secondly, I've got my payslips up to April 2013, but only received bank statements up to Feb/2013 as my bank statements were issued quarterly. Can I just use my payslips from Feb 2013 backwards to Sept 2012, which are all above £1,550 p..m. (£18,600 p.a)?

Thirdly, how to calculate the total income in 3.20 in Category A -- salaried employment?
(3.20 What was your sponsor’s total income (before tax) from salaried employment in the 12 months prior to the application?)

My gross salary history:
Feb/2012~Aug/2012 £17,000 p.a. (£1,416 p.m.)
Sept/2012 ~ Dec. /2012 £22,475 p.a. (£1872 p.m.)
Jan/2013 £23,150 p.a. (£1,929 p.m.)
Feb/2013 ~ April/2013 £23,500 p.a. (£1,958 p.m.)

I checked some information on UKBA website, it seems like the following way to work out the annual salary

the total salary in the previous 6 months is:

Sept 2012 ~ Dec 2012: £21,.500 x4=£1872 x4=£7,488
Jan/2013 £1,929 x1
Feb/2013 £1,958 x1

then the total salary of salary from Sept/2012 ~ Feb/2013 is:
£7,488+£1,929 +£1,958 =£11,375

the average salary is:
£11,375/6=£1,895

the annual salary will be:
£1,895*12=£22,750

Is that calculation correct?

Looking forward to hearing from you ASAP.
Thank you very much
Jim

For salaried income (UK based) then in the last 6 months the lowest amount gross payslip should be used * 12 for annual figure.

Many thanks for your reply. Now I work out my gross salary in the following way, as in the past 6 month my salary varied, the lowest level was 22745. Am I right?
