please, does anyone tried sending additional documents to UKBA whilst their application is pending and awaiting a decision from the case worker?

My friend tried his luck sending additional documents to UKBA for his Tier 1 extension. He got extension after having his passport stuck for 6 months.

thanks for your response.. i had my biometics done in december and i sent some additional documents some few days ago. so i'm just wondering if this is acceptable by UKBA
