OCI Application

Hi,

I have recently received my British Passport and would like to apply for OCI Application. Based on the requirement, I need to submit the original surrender certificate but I only have a photocopy of the surrender certificate and unable to locate the original copy of the document may be misplaced.

Do I need to have notary affidavit for the document or the copy of the surrender certificate can be accepted.?

I Just did not want to spent for Notary fee of £60 because I have a copy of the document.

Any advise will be appreciated.
