Class 2 NI bill

i registered as self employed in february 2013 to do some work inorder to complete the magic figure. i have now achieved that and planning to apply any time now. my visa is expiring on 8 june 2013. the only thing i am now waiting is for NI class 2 bill to be paid as i can then attach a proof along with my application. just want to ask is it necessary and a requirement to attach class 2 NI bill or just a supporting document.

Can i apply without this class 2 NI payment proof. I have already requested HMRC to setup a direct debit but this will take some time. Shall i just apply or wait for the payment proof for class 2 NI.

Did you receive the welcome letter from HMRC that u declared urself self employed? if u got it then use the ref no to make a payment over the phone, at least it will come on ur bank statement and ask them email u the receipt as it is urgent,

Usually self employed people need to show the proof of NI contribution.
