UK Visit Visa

Post by pradeepv » Thu May 02, 2013 2:39 pm

Hi

i am planning to apply for UK visit visa for both my parents, I am in Tier2 ICT so i understand i should be applying UK General Visit Visa and not the family visa. Please confirm if this is correct.

I am planning to submit 6 payslips, 6 month bank statements(both me and my wife), electricity bills and rent agreement from my side as I am the full sponsor for their trip.

I have been sending money to my mothers account every month , so will keep 6 months bank statement of her account. I will also keep the property document which is in my fathers name.

I am concerned about the funds i am expected to keep in my account and my mother's account.

1. i have 2100 GBP in my acct maintained for last one month only. 750 GBP in my wife account maintained for last one month only.

2. 100000 INR available in my mother's account but not continuously maintained. transferred now.

Is this enough funds for both my parents to get the visa, for a 4 week trip? I have not booked tickets yet.

Some one please reply.

The money won't matter; clearly you can fund their visit. And it's not about maintained money but, rather, that you have a stable cashflow that is sufficient to their needs for this particular visit. What will matter more than money is that your parents show economic ties to their homeland so if everything is coming from you, and nothing from them, it could be a problem.

thanks for the reply!!! I am submitting a document Income Certificate of my father... which comes to 80K INR per year.. this is obtained from Village admin officer... as he is a farmer i will not be able to submit bank statements showing his personal income, Plus I submit property docs of both the house and agricultural land which is in my father's name.

Please let know if this is fine, thanks again for the reply
