hi i m on psw my visa going to expire on 29/06/2013. my cmpny din applied for spncer liecence yet they gona apply around 15/5/2013. can smbody pls tell me is tht right time or i m to late. can i apply for tier 2 visa why submiting eraly application pls suggest me wht to do.

Let you know that the average time for a new company to get Tier 2 license is around 6 months. So if your company applies mid May 2013 then your company should expect to hear something by mid of November 2013.
Since your visa expires in mid of June 2013 then its very late now.

Ask you company to apply this week ,if possible, and 10 days prior to visa expiry ask your employ to request for urgent treatment. In this case UKBA usually process License application within a week (if no problem).
Remember you also have 28 days of window i.e even after your visa expire you can stay in UK for 28 days.

You cannot make Tier 2 Application without having a COS (Certificate Of Sponsorship). You can only get COS from a Tier 2 Licensed Employer.

You will need wait until your company gets Tier 2 . The only thing you can do at the moment is wait.

But remember before 10 days of your visa expiry ask your employer to request for Urgent Treatment.

As a PSW holder you are allowed to stay in UK for 28 days after your visa expiry. Anytime after 28 days will be counted as overstayer which will make you ineligible for Tier 2.

My company needed to be a registered sponsor it took around 2.5 months for them to make it onto the sponsor list and receive their details to gain access to the online sponsor management systems where they can make applications for COSs
