unemployment and naturalisation

Can anyone help with this issue please?

I'm about to fill in my AN form, and I'm not sure what to put in section 3 - good character, employment etc.

I would like to say that I'm unemployed because I work part time and get cash in hand, it's not much anyway, therefore not paying tax and NI.

That was the case since I've started working here, so it's always been the same.So, cannot provide former employer's details etc.

Would that be OK to just put unemployed and that's it, nothing else?

I assume they refer to the period I'm applying and not before, so is unemployed status would be fine , with no other info?

If you're employed you should really put that. If employed your employer is responsible for paying your tax and N.i.

Why do you think should the UK grant citizenship to someone who is not willing to follow the rules and give his (small) contribution to the state?

The OPs employer should be paying the tax and NI. He's more than likely not getting NMW or if he is, the employer just doesn't want him on the books, likely employing illegal workers.

The OP indicated in her other post that she is happy with this arrangement and doesn't wish to pay tax or NI.

I try not to be judgmental, her employer should face prosecution. Not sure why the op would prefer not paying ni as its unlikely s(he) is benefiting anyway as 1, it's illegal work on the side of employer and 2, her pay might be below ni and tax threshold.
