Set (M) Cohobation Documents

Post by zeezee0 » Sat May 04, 2013 11:06 pm

Dear All,

I wanted to clarify a few things:

Can UKBA letters be used for Cohobation proof?

Can I spread the documents on a 4 month period? Rather than providing a cohobation documents for the last 24 months?

Also My wife has been in the country as my married partner since August 2010, can I safely say that my wife can apply for Set (M) in the next few months?

Also should my wife be succesful in receiving her Set(M) can she apply for her British citzenship once my 12 Month ILR probationary period completes? Or would my wife have to wait for a probationary period?

Thank you in Advance

letters or other documents from government departments or agencies, for example HM Revenue and Customs, Dept for
Work and Pensions, DVLA and TV Licensing
Im sure UKBA letter would be fine.

Yes you can spread them on 4 months time. ( they want us to spread it over whole 2 years.) 4 months would be evenly like what I did.

as your wife has been here almost 3 years yes she can apply for ILR.

I dont have idea about your last question.

Thank you Emrah,

Could you please also confirm whether a tenancy agreement be submitted as Cohobation?

I also have my baby's UK birth certificate with both mine & my partners name. Can I submit this also?

As someone mentioned in various other posts, would I need 3 difrent proof every year? For eg can I show my council tax bill for the 1st year & than show another council bill for the second year?

Thank you

Yes you can show your tenancy agreement as cohabitation.

on SET M form page 30 you can see what are acceptable types of documents and letters .
The dates of the letters or documents should spread over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different
sources.
you can show your council tax bill twice no problem.

Im gonna show 2 council tax bills 1 tv licencing on my name 1 my wife bank statement, 1 lawyers letter, 1 gas and electricity bill and 1 HMRC letter
