Post by ice_breaker » Mon May 06, 2013 10:14 am

Hi folk,

I love you all, Your input/guidance have been very helpful in the past.

I am Pakistani national currently working in Saudi Arabia. Wife is working in Norway.

Quick timeline for your understanding:

2002 met online, stayed in touch
2007 distance relationship began
2008 met first time in Qatar (she visited twice)
2008 went to Norway to see her from Qatar
2009 I moved to London and then she frequently visited me and i visited her few times in 2010, 2011 aswell
2012 moved back to Saudi from UK and went to Norway again to see her
2013 Got married in Cyprus

Now I am back in Saudi and shes back in Norway. Decided to move UK so I have made an appointment with UK VFS for EEA family permit visa. The following documents I have prepared to submit. You can guide me if they are unnecessary or if I am missing something.

1. Application form filled and signed
2. Current and all previous Passport + current passport copy
3. Passport Size photo
4. Letter from work + copy
5. Marriage Certificate + copy
6. Certified copy of Marriage certificate + copy (if they wish to keep the original)
7. Western Union transaction, (to prove we were together) . + copy
1. gf sending me money in 2009
2. me sending money to gf in 2012
I have more western union transaction made by her and my side but I am thinking to submit only 2.
8. Wife's copy of passport and page stamp when she visited me in Qatar twice.
9. Copy of all my schengen visa when travelling to Norway to see GF (used unused)
10. Copy of Qatar visa (to prove i was working there when she visited me)
11. found one old email from GF, forwarding me her ticket for london dated 2010.
12. Got plenty of pictures together. Should I print them off or copy them in USB? ALSO should I mark them by visit or pick ramdomly and print them off.
13. Complete Wedding album link for them to see online, as we bought 50 pictures out of 200 which were printed and pasted in the album, but album is with wifey but still the complete album can be viewed online.
14. Cover letter from me
15. Cover letter from her

Anything need to be add or remove. Feel free to suggest
Thanks in advance

My opinion is,

make your application that your wife will be traveling with you to UK for a visit, not settlement.

You don't have to explain or inform them that you intend to live there or work.

If you really want, show them that you both have jobs in your country or whatever else, but don't expose your plans to live in UK, you are not legally obliged to do so anyway, plus from what I understand your wife is living and working in Norway.

By the way, what is your wife's nationality?
