SPOUSE VISA SUPPORTING LETTER (Relatives\Friends)

Post by roninxxx » Sat Feb 03, 2007 9:25 pm

Hi All,

Glad I came across this site. :D

Just need some general advice, my wife is in the process of preparing her application for a SPOUSE VISA to come to the UK (I am a British Citizen) -I will be writing a supporting letter but what I would like to know is is their any "real" benefit for me to get my relatives and friends to write letters in support of her application?

Would appreciate any tips in regard to what they should write, also would it be a good idea for them to write the letter on headed paper? (Few work in the Police and well known public companies, and local councils)?

Hope this is the write section for this thread :)

There is benefit in your relatives and friends writing supporting letters to your wife's spouse application. It just the piece of evidence that your marriage is geniune and not the marriage of convenience but at the same time its not compulsorty to have this letters either. The letter should be addressed to Entry clearance officer, British High commission. It should say that on what capacity they know both of you and that they support your marrage and this application.

The letter can be on a plain paper with there name and address clearly written not neccessaliy in a letter headed.

Goodluck
