Having a baby, funds to lock up for baby's visa?

Post by seasky » Tue May 07, 2013 10:10 pm

We are having a baby, I am T1 Entrepreneur, wife T1 partner. Living in the UK. It is not clear how much funds we need to lock up for 3 months for the baby's visa. Thanks for assistance.

Total: £2100 = £900 + £600 + £600

OK thanks for the responses, this is the part that needs advanced planning, time wise.

I would appreciate input (probably links on this site) on the process for getting the baby's visa. In general I would think:

1. Baby born, get baby PP from home country consulate

2. apply in UK (how, what, how long?)

2a. Travel to home country apply from there (how, what, how long?) -- specifically is there benefit from home country on costs or timing?
