Interview in UAE

Post by ringostar » Wed May 08, 2013 8:10 am

Pls can anyone guide me how should I prepare for the interview in Abu Dhabi. I am applying under Tier 1 (200K). All docs have been provided.

Also, I have a team applicant who is my mother. They have given her separate time for interview which is 30 mins before my time. I need to know:

a. Will they interview us together or separately
b. Will it be the same Entry Clearance officer for both of us if we are interviewed separately.

The biggest of my worries is my mother who gets anxiety attacks when nervous which leads to an asthama bout. So if I need to prepare her for the interview. BTW she is the one funding me as she has a history of owning and running a business in UAE for past 12 yrs.

Thnx in advance guys. Would appreciate some suggestions.

a. It seems you have already indicated that this will not be the case. I think it would be very unusual for individual applicants to be interviewed anything other than individually.
b. Who can say, but it seems they are scheduled consecutively in the same location on the same day, and it would make sense for one person to hold the facts of the matter.

Does your mother actually intend to take an active and equal part in the running of the business; what is her historical commercial experience?

My mother does not intend to take active part in the UK business. She will be a passive investor. This is for two reasons. One is her health and then age. Once I settle up the UK venture she intends to sell her current business and then move into UK with me.

Her commercial background is that she established her current business in 2000 and has been running it since then and thats where she made the money. She is into wedding dress design and arrangements.

She is applying in the wrong category. The Tier 1 (Investor) visa allows for passive investment.
