British Citizen - Director documents requirements

Post by askin81 » Thu May 09, 2013 2:44 am

Hello,
British citizenship query :

1) I'm the director of the limited company which was started in July-2011 . Me & my wife are the 50% share holders. I'm aware of documents such as passport, life in the UK test is mandatory . Is any other mandatory documents required from my limited company ?

2) Me, wife & my son got ILR on Mar-2011. My wife came to UK as Tier1 dependant visa on 20-April-2008, She went to India for 9 months (July 2010 to Mar 2011) for the maternity. My wife total number of days outside UK from (20-April-2008 to 20-April-2013) is 471 days, got appointment with NCS on 31-May-2013, is it really going to be issue ?

3) In the guidance they mentioned that for the absences exceed the limit " if applicants have established their home, family and a substantial part of their estate here ". We got my house in UK, Does it going to help for my wife absences if I submit my land registry document?

4) My son is 2 years old , he was born in India & came to Uk on 8-Mar-2011 , is it any time frame for the baby needs to be UK before applying for naturalisation?

5) What is the tax office reference number ?

6) I'm the director & also employee of my limited company, in AN form ,do I need to tick the box director & also employee?

Could you pls advise the above ?

thank you
Suresh

No, not unless you're self-employed. Tick director.

Shouldn't be much of any issue as there is discretion, plus on success she'll be married to a BC so there would only be a 3 year residency requirement, although some discretion is needed there too
.

Well just stipulate in the extra information that, all your wife's assets are in the UK (I assume they are) including the home.

4) My son is 2 years old , he was born in India & came to Uk on 8-Mar-2011 , is it any time frame for the baby needs to be UK before applying for naturalisation?

No, it's discretion. He should be fine.

5) What is the tax office reference number ?

Your UTR number.

6) I'm the director & also employee of my limited company, in AN form ,do I need to tick the box director & also employee?

Director and employee if you wish as technically you can be both as a director.

Could you pls advise the above ?

thank you
Suresh
Make sure you and your wife meet the other standard requirements here http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... uirements/ and you were physically present in the UK 5 years before the HO receive your application.

The strict answer to your question is ..... when he is 18 years old BUT ......

What you will be applying for, for your son, is Registration as a British Citizen, using form MN1. As already said, that is an "at discretion" application, under section 3(1). Assuming your Naturalisation application is granted, and why not, there is no reason why your son's Registration would be unsuccessful.
