ILR eligibility

Post by vivekr11 » Thu May 09, 2013 6:14 pm

Am I eligible for ILR after I complete my 5 years stay in UK.?

Visa applied and fees paid in BLR,India on 04 Apr 2011, visa stamped on 29 apr 2011 and I have entered UK on 15th May 2011 with 3 year visa under tier 2 general sponsored visa.
Currently I am with the same employer and he will be interested to extend my visa for 2 more years.

1. In the above situation, after I complete 5 years will I be eligible for ILR..? Considering before 6th april 2011 visa rule.

2. If I change my job under same visa category under same job code, still am I eligible for ILR?

Expecting experts opinion on this.

Thanks and Regards
Vivek

So what has been changed since 6th Apr 2011 to now? what are the conditions for ILR for new entrants in 2013?
Don't take "NO" for an answer if it shouldn't be!!!

I think after apr 2011 max stay on tier 2 is 6 years. They might not able to apply for ILR on tier2 general category! Further info in
