ILR for Tier 2 Intra Company Transfer issued on 01-07-2011

Hi-

My Tier-2 ICT was issued on 01-07-2011 and its been extended now till 2015 , I would complete my 5 years in 01-07-2016.

Would I be eligible to apply for ILR , the current statements are not very clear or I just need someone to say that I can't apply!!

IF its a No, what option do I have to continue to work in UK after 5 years

Any pointers are highly appreciated.

The 5-year continuous period must include time spent as:

a Tier 2 (Intra company transfer) migrant under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010; or
a qualifying work permit holder, provided that the work permit was granted because you were the subject of an intra-company transfer.

To my understanding if you were issued Tier 2 ICT after April 2010 then you are not eligible for ILR.

The other option is to switch to Tier 2 General but Cooling off period will apply (You will need to leave UK for one year then apply for Tier 2 General) .

Can I switch to another sponsor under the same category doing the same job ? OR

Can I switch to another sponsor doing different job ?
