If you've received a notice to strike off from HMRC then you may well find that you no longer have a company and your bank account is likely to be frozen.

Yes, there are penalties. Here's the link to the fines.

In addition to the penalties, you will also be charged interest on any tax you owe. You should be prepared for this to delay your ILR application as checks are made with HMRC.

By the way, HMRC can't close down your website, but with a strike off pending, they can freeze your bank account.

jojybaba, there are normally no penalties for filing the Annual Return late with Companies House. However it is possible for officers of the company to be prosecuted in Court, but that is very rare.

But as you have received the warning about possible striking off, hopefully the Annual Return has been filed by now. If not, why not? After all we are only talking about a £13 filing fee.
