Post by cooludaykishore » Mon May 13, 2013 8:22 pm

Hi all, currently I'm on my Post Study Work (PSW) Visa. I'm planning to switch to Tier 2. Is it mandatory for me to take RLMT??? Any suggestions please...

You are exempt:

"You do not need to complete a resident labour market test if the migrant currently has permission to stay in the UK under:

Tier 1 (Post-study work);"

Under the new immigration rule amendments in Apr 2013, you do not need to have current leave to get the exemption from RMLT. even if you have previously had visa under Tier 4 or Tier 1 PSW, then you are exempted from RLMT.
(Reference: Appendix A - Section 78 B of immigration act 1971)
Don't take "NO" for an answer if it shouldn't be!!!

I doubt that.. It says you should apply for leave to remain, which means that you should apply from inside the UK
