OCI Application - Documents Required

Hi,

I am going to apply OCI for myself and my spouse (in person). The documents required section does not talk about photocopy of cancelled Indian passport so can I assume that our Surrender Certificate are sufficient to prove our Indian Origin or do we still need to take photocopy of cancelled Indian Passport.
Please reply ASAP. I am going to HCI on Monday.

Ensure that you take color photocopies – I do not think they accept photocopies in blank & white. - NOT CORRECT AGAIN

It's always recommended to refer to official links/guidance. Nice explanation doesn't always mean correct information.
