Can we apply for first British Passport of Kids, from India?

Hi There,

I [ BC on 05.12.2012 ]am applying for British Citizenship registration [ Form MN1 ] for by daughter [age 8, ILR 25.04.11] at NCS and then for some family reason she will have to go to India with mum [got ILR 25.07.11] for about 5-6 months. I assume we will receive registration certificate meantime, so I was thinking to apply for British Passport in India, we can do that ?

I would really appreciate your help in this matter.
