My wife is in Uk on 6mths family visit visa.

a. How long can she stay in UK because we planning to reapply for 2years family visit visa later this year?

b. How many months bank statement will be needed for renewal?

The old rule was 6 in 12. E.g. for every 6 months in the UK - you should be spending 6 months outside. The new guidance is less clear cut - it simply says that you must not be effectively resident. So I'd still use the old 6 in 12 as a benchmark.

Think of it like this - if you're here more than you are elsewhere ... you aren't visiting.

A 2 year visitor visa, just to be clear, still only grants 6 months entry each time.

The evidence for a 2 year visa is the same as a 6 month visa.
