Qualification ICWAI, India assessment by NARIC

Post by talk2santosh » Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:35 am

Dear Friends,

I did not find any discussion thread with answers for assessment of ICWAI qualification by NARIC, so I am posting this topic.

Has anyone assessed ICWAI (The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India) qualification by NARIC ? What is the assessment outcome ?

Regards,

Santosh

Hi

My CA is equal to Graduation here. If your qualification is equal to CA in India, they should offer you the same equivalence.

ICWAI - on Naric database

Post by talk2santosh » Wed Feb 07, 2007 4:19 pm

Hello Waqar,

Did you get your qualification CA assessed with Naric. This would clear my doubts.

In my original HSMP application, I had claimed ICWAI as Masters qualification and Bcom as Bachelors qualification. Now after extension, the rules have changed, so I am wondering how many points I should claim. And they write, you can claim for only one qualification.

So should I claim for ICWAI or B.com ? The HSMP form says, you need not send the certificates again.

Anyway, it looks I have get my qualification assessed... You have nutty case worker who can question anything. And they have any clause, you cannot submit any new documents !!!

I could'nt exactly understand your actual situation. Are you applying for extension now? I sent all of my degrees to NARIC when I was applying for WP and now I am using the same assessment letter for my HSMP application. I asked NARIC if there is any probelm but they said that there wont be any change in the assessment.

It looks like you have'nt got your qualifcations assessed from NARIC before. Send the copies of your BCom as well as ICWAI to NARIC and then claim the qualification highly assessed by NARIC for your HSMP application.
