Post by catchhster » Fri May 17, 2013 8:56 am

Hi

Can some on help. I am on tier 2 visa and my gf is coming to UK and like to study he masters in dentistry.

Can she study legally as dentistry

Can she work as a dentist.

tier 2 visa says dependants cannot work as Doctors in training?

What do they actually mean? Can they work as a full time dentist?

If not what are the other options.[/b]

She can't work as a dentist in training. She can work as a dentist if there is no training that forms part of those duties. Otherwise, this is not an immigration issue. She needs to make her own research with the relevant dental authorities about the acceptance of her qualification and what, if anything, needs to be done for its recognition in the UK market place.

No ur wife can't work as a dentist in uk.
Any one who want to work as a dentist in uk has to be registered with GDC. To register with GDC ur wife should be qualified in UK.
There r 2 ways to get qualified
1, she has to study again from beginning in dentistry in Uk.
2. She has to go for ORE part 1 & part 2.
After getting pass through any of the option she has to go for 1 year vt training and then only she can work as dentist .
It's very difficult for overseas dentist in uk.
Before calling her search little more .
U can find more information on gdc uk website.
Good luck

I think you must consult newsmilesdentistry to get all the information of dentistry. Torrance dentist is very polite, experienced and will help you in making a decision.
