I think he meant what residence card/permit does the turkish has in NI?

He must have some sort of residence permit other than spouse visa.

If you quote exactly what's held, people will be able to answer your question - eg EEA family permit, residence card or something else.

Sorry feeling a bit stupid here (pregnancy hormones have kicked in)
He has a 5 year visa in his turkish passport which he got along with his papers that states he is allowed to live and work in the uk.
He is at work now so i will get his passport when he comes home and find out what it says on the visa exactly

Could you ask him if he has other card or type of permit other than the one on his passprt?

And also based on the information you've provided so far, he wont be refused entry as long as he is travelling with you.

Does he has a re-entry permit?

Yes , he is allowed to travel anywhere in EU without visa, in dublin you would have no problem what so ever . (Telling you from experience). So relax and travel all over EU but make sure you are with him while travelling.

Thank you very much for your reply for some reason i was under the impression that we could travel anywhere in the EU except my own country which is Ireland

NO Problem, Actually by law when a union citizen excercise his treaty rights in any other eu country,, when he comes back to his country will be treated like a Eu citizen,, For example if u wish to live in ireland now , and your husband would get stamp 4 eufam card rather than just stamp 4.( Unless u want stamp 4) So in all eu countries including ireland u r a eea national and your husband can travel with u anywhere in eu without visa,

In that case, he has an article 10 residence card. Basically, this works throughout Eu in lieu of visa. We have a thread with success stories, after yours, please post back.

Sounds familiar. It could be. I suppose you'll get a better response from the users here in regards to that.
