Reapplying for family visitor visa on Medical grounds

Post by kosgad » Mon May 20, 2013 10:48 pm

Dear all,

Could you kindly look at this post and clarify my doubt regarding reapplying for family visitor visa.

My mom stayed here from Oct 2012-Mar 2013 (6 months). I am planning to bring her back to UK on strong medical grounds (to look after me during recovery from illness). I believe that family visitor can not stay in UK for more than 6/12 months period!

My Questions are...

1) Can i re-apply for family visitor visa with supporting letters from NHS (On Medical grounds)

2) Do i have to wait until October 2013 (previous visa was granted in Oct 2012) to apply for family visitor visa.

I would value all your suggestions and guidance.

Thank you

Regards
Kosgad

I don't what these strong medical grounds are that you are going to invite the person, but I doubt it, visa will be granted, especially as she has just completed full 6 months/

Yes you are right in what you say that they can only stay 6 months in any 12 months period.

However there is no harm if you want to try it.
