Moving family from US to UK

Post by Ianp77 » Mon May 20, 2013 10:54 pm

Hi, i would be really grateful for any help!!
I got married in the UK to an American girl in 2009. We were married in England and then after a year long wait i received my green card and I moved there. However my wife and I, and her 3 children (who i have not adopted yet) would like to move to the UK. I am already here for work and would like to bring them over to live permanently. I'm not sure how to go about this, do i have to pay for my wife and each child, and will they have to wait like i did to move there? Or can they come here, as we are already married, and do the application for their indefinite stay from withing our borders?
I have found the uk immigration site to be quite confusing and we are itching to get things moving. When i went to the US we had an immigration lawyer, but i cannot afford to do that this time sadly.
Like i said, i would be really grateful for any advice from those who have been in this situation.
Cheers,
Ian
