Life in UK test for ILR

Post by japs411 » Wed May 22, 2013 4:25 pm

heloo

have a little query on the life in the UK test

my wife has passed the life in the UK test in 2012

now we are applying for her ILR
do we need to take the new Life in UK test ? or the old one would suffice ?

thank you

So long as she is applying for ILR prior to October 2013 the Life in the UK test will suffice.

Hi Amber,
you should not miss guide people. do you have any source where you red that it will not be valid after october? i disagree it does not make sense. the old test should be accepted any time. does it have any expiry on it.

I did not miss guide anyone. I meant that the life in the UK test alone would suffice. After October 2013 an additional element is required in addition to the life in the UK test!

In UKBA's website under News&Updates section it has been written that after 28th October 2013 the test should add one more part pertaining to English language proficiency in speaking and listening.
