PSW to Tier 2 Salary Issue

Post by Ali_123 » Mon May 27, 2013 8:20 am

Hi,

I am with my company for nearly last 2 years, now they applied for Sponsorship license and got Caterfory A. Currently they are waiting for UserID to come so that they can issue me a COS.

Problem is, my salary is 22K but on Code of Practice it should be 24K as I am a programmer. My Pay review is at end of next month let say 23 - 06 - 2013 and I am sure I will get pay rise which will increase my pay above 24k.

My PSW visa will expire in August 2013, should I wait until I get my pay rise, or should I ask my employer to give me a letter stating my pay rise, they are agreed to put my increased salary on COS but then don't I need to show my pay slips to UKBA ?

Do we need to show them our pay slips as a proof ? As if they increase my salary next week but it will be effective from next month, can I still apply for visa this month ?

Even if I don't give them my pay slips then they can see my bank statement which shows the money coming into my account.

What documents do I need to submit with my application ?

- Bank Statement
- University Degree
- Passport
- UKBA ID card
- COS proof letter

anything else ?

I been looking at UKBA website but couldn't find much related, if you can also provide some link as reference would be great :).

Thanks a million.

First, After your employer receives the User ID, he/she needs to check whether the home office gave your company allocations to be used to sponsor a migrant (i.e. you). There is a great chance that your company has zero allocation, and therefore has to apply for additional allocations. This process usually takes 4 weeks.

Second, When your employer fills the information to sponsor you, your salary must be at least £24000. The home office will reject your Tier 2 application if your salary is below £24000 at the time when CoS is assigned to you.

Third, there is no need for a letter or proof for your salary as all the information will be filled when the employer assigned the CoS for you. By the Way, CoS is a reference number (not a letter) your employer will give it to you when he/she assigns the CoS for you.

Four, you need to send the following documents when sending the Tier 2 application:

- Passport
- UKBA ID card
- Bank statements for the last 3 months which clearly show that the balance did not go below the limit (£900 for the main applicant + £600 for each dependant).
- University degree to prove that you meet the English language requirement.

Do we need to show them our pay slips as a proof ?

Ans:NO
pay slips are not mandatory.
What documents do I need to submit with my application ?

- Bank Statement
- University Degree
- Passport
- UKBA ID card
- COS proof letter --NO
There is no such thing called COS Proof Letter, in your Tier2 application form there will be field to enter COS reference Number you must have this ref number from your Employer.
if your employer is OK to mention 24k in CoS then your fine. bank statements are not proof of Pay rate they are only for maintenance funds.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

Even though you people answered my question but I was wondering if it is possible to get any link as reference for what you have stated please, so that I can read about it, as I tried to find it on UKBA website but not able to find the documents required list there,

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... gevidence/

when I click on Documents required, it doesn't give me the list I want to know.

Regards
Ali
