Spouse visa

Post by safeery2k » Mon May 27, 2013 1:34 pm

Hi,
My wife is on spouse visa and I'm on ILR, her visa is going to expire next month but I'm not sure which visa I should I apply for my wife, is it going to be ILR for her?

If yes, then what is the requirement for ILR for my wife?

Thanks

I assume your spouse applied for the spouse visa before July 8th 2012? Therefore, the next set after the 2 year probationary period is to apply for settlement using form Set(m)

Yes, she applied before July 2012. She actually came here on student visa and then we got married and she got the spouse visa. So we should apply for settlement under rules before 8 July 2012?

Yes you can apply no earlier than 28 days before the 2 year probationary period under flr(m) ends - likely, no earlier than 28 days before the current visa expires.
