AN form fast track and working registration scheme question

Post by ipolcat » Mon May 27, 2013 2:44 pm

Hi There,
I got apologize up front if that questions has been answered already here but I had difficulties to locate them.
We are getting ready to apply for naturalization and I am having problem with AN form. We are EEA nationals; I lived in UK more than 10 years, my wife more than 6 years
1. I have never registered under working registration scheme because I have been told by HomeOffice that I don’t have to since I have been here more than 10 years. Should ignore section 2.6 then?
2. Also is there any fast track service for this type of applications. I am having problem to give my Passport away for 2-3 months since I travel in business every month so I need it.

Thanks in advance.

Just put N/A if the question is not applicable you can always just put in the extra information that the WRS was not applicable for you.

There is no fast track scheme per se however, you can use the nationality checking service who will check your form, take copies of your documents and give you the originals back so you can travel.

Why was you exempt from WRS is there any reason?
Are you A8 national?
Was you in the UK 10 years before A8 joined EU or you asked HO for WRS recently?

I believe those (A8 ) who started a job before 1 May 2004 and had permission to be working in the UK were exempt from the WRS.

That’s correct. I was here before 2004 working full time and that what I was told by officials.
I wasn't aware of WRS places; you have no idea how helpful that advice was.
Thanks again.
