Wife Stayed 2 Years

Post by aasawey » Mon May 27, 2013 10:21 pm

Hello,

I am new here folks and I would appreciate any help.

I and my wife and kids have had ILR for 10 months. We plan to apply for naturalisation in 2 months. But my wife has stayed in UK for nearly 2 years. She came here nearly three years ago to stay but I had to go back to my home country for a work attachment. My wife and kids had to go earlier in order to find schools and had to come back months after I did so that the kids would complete the school year there. Can I add this year to her stay in the UK? How soon can she apply?

Much appreciated,
aasawey

Unless you are a British Citizen your spouse will have to be resident in the UK for 5 years. There is discretion to apply together but it is not guaranteed. See absences and the discretion
