Tier 2 Priority postal application

Post by maylmi12 » Tue May 28, 2013 3:46 pm

I just received confirmation email from UKBA stating that they payment has been taken and they have sent off the biometrics letter.
On the email it says Dear: (my name) +1 dependant.
It is strange because I did not apply with any dependant.. do you think it is their mistake..? I checked the photocopy of my application I sent but I did seem to have filled out the correct form "main applicant" and I did not fill out any dependant details.

Should I be worried..? They only charged me 853 the cost for the main applicant as well.

I hope so too. First time I got rejected due to salary and wrong code choice.
I reapplied with a new COS and used the priority service as well.
Getting a reply tomorrow, I hope its worth the money as they have been very helpful sending emails and giving updates.

Yes, my case was very much similar to yours. I used priority. They are really helpful. In fact, I had issues during my 2nd application as well. I had given my debit card details to pay, but after sending the application, there was a fraud in my bank account. So the bank decided to block my card and issue a new one. So I had to request the visa office to consider change of payment details which they did. I had to scan and send the payment detail page again. I was really lucky.

oh that's good news. The salary/code stuff is very confusing.

So did you get a email from them saying the decision has been made and the letter/documents are sent out in the post?

No, I did not. I only got email regarding payment clearance and biometric letter. But then I had sent a self addressed stamped registered post envelop along with my application, so that I could track as soon as they post it. Maybe that's the reason I dint get email.

How long was your decision made in after you did your biometrics?
I did my biometrics yesterday, and this morning they emailed me saying we made a decision and sent off documents back

Hey Guys.

Just a quick one. I applied Tier 2 (switching employer) as priority postal service on 22nd January online with the lawyers. Got the biometrics on Saturday 24th and did my biometrics on Monday 26th Jan.

Any idea how long this will take?

Many thanks

Nabeel

Hi,
I want to apply for Tier-2 (General) employer change application with my wife and child, that is taken as Visa extension application I believe. To get it faster, I am planning to use Premium or Priority service but have following questions:
For priority:
1. I need to apply online for a place and then send documents if I get email saying I got a place on that day. Please confirm.
2. I am confused by this on website: "Dependant applications sent in different envelopes will be considered separately - they’ll be charged the full application fee if their applications don’t arrive on the same day as the main application." What will be the fees for our case. £901 or (£901*3) if I send in same envelope?
3. Our Initial Tier-2 visa (Entry clearance) was valid from 26th June 2013, while we entered on 15th July 2013. Now if I am changing employer and extend my visa, should I apply for 3 years visa or 5 years, as it seems to be on border line to complete 5 years in UK for ILR. Or I can request my new employer to issue CoS from 15th July 2015 (if possible) and apply for 3 years then? What you suggest.
4. I believe for Premium, we all need to be present there and get decision same day. For Priority, we can send by post and give biometric at post office and get decision in 10 days. Is it correct?

Thank you very much in advance. Would really appreciate any thoughts on these.
Cheers

Hi, I'm in the same situation as you, can you please advise when u got a new CoS did you go up in salary or down? I'm not sure what's best to do as I have few codes that match my job description...

Thanks,
Maggie
