4 months long wait for BIOMETRICS!!!

Post by verbina » Tue May 28, 2013 11:25 pm

Hello everyone!

So glad I found this amazing forum with tons of excellent information!

My application ( not even a 'paid' application, but a mere representation from my solicitor to UKBA) was submitted on 31/01/2013 and acknowledged the very next day.

I was detained at Yarl's Wood at the time, so I know for sure my application was acknowledged as I got released on a temporary admission straight away, on condition to report bi-weekly at Becket's House reporting centre.

So far its been practically 4 months and Ive still not had a Biometrics request letter from them.

I mean Im not being impatient or anything, because i know most of you guys here have been waiting much longer, but from what I understood on this forum HO caseworkers dont even start processing an application until Biometrics were submitted...

So Im confused as whats going on with me, especially as my friend was detained with me, her application went in after mine, she was already rejected twice, submitted her Biometrics long time ago.

I hope someone will be able to shed some light on this for me....
Thank you very much for taking your time to read this!

Wish you all good luck with your applications!

Hi Verbina, welcome! I would suggest you ask your solicitor to call UKBA or you can call them, my solicitor said the UKBA are dealing with paid applications faster than non-paid, so it might be a while before you receive one, HOWEVER this is just my personal assumption as to what my solicitor said, the best way to find out is calling UKBA. You might receive your letter soon. best wishes!

Thank you for your reply hun!
Makes sense that UKBA deal with paid applications first....
Have a lovely day!
