Work Permit letter as gross salary proof

Post by apply4hsmp » Sun Feb 11, 2007 8:11 am

Can my work permit be used for gross salary ? as that's one of the places where my gross is clearly mentioned ?

And the letter is issued by Home Office so should that be acceptable.

You probably can't.

The gross amount printed is what the company applying for the WP says on the application they would be paying you. Often this is an amount that would cover the period of the WP, so if a company is applying for a 5 year permit they might put what they think the average salary will be over that period.

Basically, most WP letters do not state the right salary (as you can see from searching some older posts on the forums) and therefore I strongly doubt HO will even think about considering it as evidence of earnings.

Thanks.

do not provide any other proof other than what is mentioned on your visa application form or the guidance notes.

HSMP is one place where you dont want to be innovative (such as putting the figures of Work Permit on HSMP).

You are 300% assured to be rejected by not providing the evidence as required.
