Another interesting article on South Africa's increasing problems with the UK goverment over unwanted foreigners entering the UK with fake South African passports and the UK being unable to deport them back to South Africa because they aren't real South African citizens.

Clearly if South Africa refuses to provide the fullest co-operation to United Kingdom authorities, then the visa-free access of its passport will be withdrawn.

I don't believe South Africa produces a disproportionate amount of unwanted foreigners but there still remains issues with the passport issuing process because it has been next to impossible to forge a South African passport since 1996. The result is non-South Africans travelling on real South African passports, due to corruption in the Home Affairs dept.

These kind of stories are also sensationalised by the media. I recall an article recently that Britain was to be removed from the US visa waiver list due to extremists making use of British passports. The US seems to be very concerned about this.

Hopefully neither will happen!
