Compiling my documents for ILR

Post by isaac2k2 » Fri May 31, 2013 10:23 am

Hi All

I am in the process of sorting out all documents required for my ILR application. My current T1G visa expires on 9th of September 2013 but I entered UK on 22nd of August 2008 while my entry clearance visa was actually given to me on 26th Of March 2008 meaning I didn't leave until after 5months.

For me to apply via the PEO center for me, my wife and son, below is breakdown of what I assume i need:

- Register with PEO center on or after 27th of July 2013 (that will make it 28 days before 5yrs of entering the UK). Then call the immigration inquiry bureau by 3pm on the next working day to pay an appointment fee of £100 per applicant

- Entry Clearance Letters: HSMP (Me, Wife and Son) + Copies

- Resident Permit Letters: T1G (this was addressed to our solicitor when it was first refused) (Me, Wife & Son) + Copies

- SET(O) - settlement (other): (Latest 6th of April 2013) (Me, Wife & Son) + Copies

- Life in UK test (Me & Wife) + Copies

- 12 months Bank Statement (Only addressed to me) + Copies. My wife stopped working over 3yrs ago when we had had our twin girls so she could look after them until they start pre-school.

- Letter from employer stating my salary + Copy

- Passports (Me (not yet expired since I extended it), Wife & Son both expired but have appointment first week in June for new e-passport)

- 12 months payslips + Copies

Uncertain Questions:

- Since my wife and I where both married before coming to UK, do I still need 1-2yrs proof of address letter in both my name and wife or would letters in my name be enough? If so must all the letters be dated one per each month for 2yrs and same source or mix or would my bank statement suffice?

- I recently traveled to France for 3days on company work. Do I need HR to give a covering note, if so would they need to include that I was still been paid during this time?

- Does my wife need proof of address and if so would bank statement be enough?

- Do I need a covering letter to summarize all I am submitting?

- Do I need HMRC 5yr report?

- Is there anything else I am missing?

Would really appreciate your help with most or all of my queries.

It is very easy for some one to answer your Queries,if you would divide your questions under seperate headings. All queries together makes it difficult to answer.

Did you get any answer for your wife's staying with you, what proofs are required? I have only council tax bill and a letter from estate agent.

Not really, I have seen lots of people mentioning Council Tax bill but I only pay my council tax online via my bank. So the letters I get is once a year showing my bill for the whole year Would that suffice?

The question now is since I need proof for 2 years would just 2 Council Bill letters do the trick or a combination with bank statements

You need 6 documents evenly spread over 2 years. If in both names very good.

What I meant was you will need 6 documents having yours and wife's name over a period of 2 years. Eg:- Say every 3 moths.
