Dependent and main applicant funding

My visa is recently refused and i still have 14 days before my visa expires. the problem in last 4 weeks my statement has gone below 800, however with my wife statement,who is my dependent, i have more 1400 ponds. Please guide if that would be acceptable as my lawyer said that it can be used. please guide its very urgent.
