Eligibility for PR - EE4

Post by psuch2 » Sat Jun 01, 2013 10:01 pm

Hi all

I received my RC as non-eea family member in august last year, valid until 2017.
I managed to gain employment within a week of getting my RC, but just recently lost my job.
I have also engaged in full time education within a month of receiving my RC.Will the fact I am not working affect my PR-EEA4 application in any way?
My partner is exercising her treaty rights by working.
I am now taking my employer to the tribunal in relation to the circumstances I was laid off, and I have the prospect of getting into work after the college course is over. I will continue to further study.

That is all that matters. You don't need to be doing anything. Your residence rights and eligibility for PR are derived from your parter; he or she is the person who must exercise treaty rights.

Thanks.
I knew on the back of my mind it was ok, but I just cant help to think I jeopardised the whole thing by not being able to work.
