EEA FP for mother in law

Post by ecogle » Sat Jun 01, 2013 10:27 pm

Dear All,

My mother in law received EEA FP. She is now 63, diabetic patient. So we are the only source for her to take care. We would like to know she is eligible fore NHS treatement? We are not getting any social benefits apart from child tax credits. She used to work for a company in Srilanka and getting small amount of ***** £30 per month. We would like to know what kind of benefits she can get her for medical treatment etc.

She should go to the citizens advice bureau and get a benefits check to see what she could be entitled to..... Could be pension credit and disability living allowance/pip but needs to get specialist advice to make sure she gets the correct benefits.

Thanks for all comments, but she never worked in UK, still she can apply for Pension credit? I am happy that if she is covered for NHS treatment.

Yes she may be entitled to pension credit it is not subject to the applicant having worked.
