MN1 application

Post by iammario » Mon Jun 03, 2013 11:34 am

We sent out the application for child nationality via NCS (national checking service) on 7th Nov 2012. We received the UKBA acknowledgment letter on 12th Nov 2012. After that we have not heard anything from UKBA for over 6 months. We have no idea if our application has been approved or refused.

Does anyone have any similar experience? What should we do now? Can anyone share some effective UKBA contact so that we could at least check with them? As we tried email, no reply. And phone call, automatic answer. This is so frustrating!

Ask your local MP to chase the UKBA.

Was this an application for a UK born child? (under section 1(3). Entitlement application. No discretion by the HO).

If that is the case, the certificate probably got lost in the post several months ago. Try to email the HO using NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk letting them know you never received the outcome of the application. They will probably reissue the certificate.

Do you have the number? The one on the website is automatic reply, not able to speak to their staff.
